Chairman
Michael Thomas QC
has been a barrister for over forty years, specializing in
banking, securities, derivatives, arbitration and financial
services law. He has appeared before tribunals in England,
Singapore, Hong Kong, New York and Lisbon and has sat as
Chairman of Boards of Investigation appointed by the UK
government and by the Liberian government into shipping
casualties. He has been an arbitrator in a number of commercial
disputes, including before the China Maritime Arbitration
Commission, the International Chamber of Commerce, the London
Court of International Arbitration and the Swedish Chamber of
Commerce. He has served as Attorney General of Hong Kong.
Professor Francois Gianviti
has been Professor of Law at University of Paris XII and Dean of
the University’s School of Law. He was appointed General Counsel
of the International Monetary Fund and played a leading role in
global regulatory issues. He has received decorations from the
French Government (Chevalier des Palmes Academiques and
Chevalier dans l’Ordre National du Merite), and he has extensive
experience of Civil Code jurisdictions and administrative
Tribunals.
Iain Milligan QC
has also been a barrister for over 40 years and acts both as
adviser and advocate in all areas of commercial law. He
specializes as a commercial litigator, with emphasis on banking
(particularly derivatives), financial services, mergers and
acquisitions, oil and gas, commodities, insurance and
reinsurance, shipping, aviation, competition and professional
negligence in related fields. He is head of the pre-eminent
barrister chambers at 20 Essex Street, London, United Kingdom.
Executive Staff
Administration
Chief Executive Officer Robert Musgrove is Chief Executive
Officer at the QFC Civil and Commercial Court and Regulatory
Tribunal. He was formerly Chief Executive of the Civil
Justice Council, an advisory body on civil justice reform based
in London. He was closely involved with the civil justice
system in England and Wales for more than twenty five years,
working variously in Government policy, research, and advisory
roles.

Acting Registrar
Christopher Campbell-Holt
is Acting Registrar at the QFC Civil and Commercial Court and
Regulatory Tribunal. He oversees the management of all casework
and works closely with the Judges in his quasi-judicial capacity
on procedural case matters. Previously he worked at Norton Rose
LLP, an international law firm, where he co-founded a specialist
litigation practice group across the firm's international
offices and co-founded the Centre for Ethics and Law at
University College London. He has lectured widely and produced
publications on commercial and civil law, ethics and
administrative law.
